Overview

The 5th International Iwate Collider School (ICS2026) will be held in Appi ski resort near Morioka in Iwate, Japan, from March 2(Mon) to 6(Fri), 2026. This is hosted by Iwate University.

Application submission deadline: December 12, 2025

During the school, students will learn a variety of topics in collider physics via lectures and tutorials for event simulation. Long lunch break for skiing and discussions are planned. We have invited experts in particle physics around the world as lecturers:

Motoi Endo (KEK, Japan)
Olivier Mattelaer (Louvain, Belgium)
Nobuchika Okada (Alabama, USA)
Junping Tian (U. Tokyo, Japan)
Masakazu Yoshioka (KEK/Iwate U./Iwate Prefectural U., Japan) etc.

Thanks to the support by Iwate U., Iwate Prefectural U., Iwate Prefecture ILC Promotion Council, and Tohoku ILC Project Development Center, there will be no registration fee, and local expenses will be covered.

We look forward to hosting the new generation of young researchers (both theorists and experimentalists) who will play a central role in particle physics adventure in the coming decades!
